Full Amarillo
Amarillo Single Hop Hazy IPAAmarillo is a true natural wonder. In 1990, farmers from the AmericanVirgil Gernache Farms noticed some unusually lighter and slightly smaller hop cones among their Liberty hops crop. Just a few sniffs were enough to make them realize their luck – the unusual intense aroma of citrus and tropical fruits completely captivated them. The following year, they began multiplying and professionally growing this new hop, now commercially known as Amarillo, which means “yellow” in Spanish – likely due to the color of the cones.
So how does Full Amarillo smell and taste? In the foreground, you will notice Sicilian blood orange and delicate pomelo. In the background, floral and tea-like notes emerge, and once the beer warms up, melon and apricot appear. The tropical flavor and aroma blend wonderfully with the velvety malt body, balanced by a grapefruit bitterness.
This beer is the perfect combination of a malty base and citrus bitterness, making it disappear from glasses in the blink of an eye. Get ready for an explosion of flavors and aromas!
Other “single hop” beers include: Full Mosaic, Full Citra, and Full Sabro.
